Although we may complain when things aren’t exactly going our way, the honest truth is that we really don’t want t life to be fair.
The thing of it is that if our world was truly fair, that swagger wagon parked in our 2-car garage would not be there. If life was fair, I’d be saddling up on a burro to make a water run at our community water hole.
We tend to forget that we live in a world of abundance. We tend to forget that we live a life of luxury. So instead of being grateful for the comfortable lives we lead, we complain for the excess that we yet don’t have.
We tend to forget that we are the haves, and there are many, many have-nots desperate to have what is truly a need. While we complain of the luxury we yet don’t have.
Maybe its because we live in a world of consumption. Maybe it is because we are blinded by advertising messages that tell us we need this or we need that. Maybe it is because we are flawed and we have a tendency to loose track of what is truly valuable.
